How it works
One image at a time. You decide: REAL or AI.
How do you play?
Each round shows ten images. For every image, choose REAL or AI. On a phone you can swipe left for REAL and right for AI. On a computer you can use the buttons or the arrow keys (← REAL, → AI). Your score appears when the round is done.
What does REAL mean?
A genuine photograph taken with a camera.
What does AI mean?
An image generated entirely by an AI image model. Composites and edited mixes are not used in scored rounds.
Is AI OR NOT? an AI detector?
No. AI OR NOT? does not detect AI images automatically. It is a game about human perception: it tests whether you can tell AI-generated images from real photos. Every image's answer comes from its documented origin, not from an algorithm.
Game modes
- Daily Challenge: the same ten images in the same order for everyone, renewed every day at 00:00 UTC. One scored attempt per day.
- Free play: unlimited rounds of ten images. Play now.
- 100 Challenge: one hundred images in one seasonal run, with a public leaderboard. Start the 100 Challenge.
- Challenge a friend: after a round, share a link. Your friend gets the same ten images in the same order and sees your score before starting.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and no account is needed to play. A free profile lets you review your answers, keep your history and publish a 100 Challenge score.
Can I see the right answers?
Only after the round is finished. Answer review shows your answer, the correct answer and how other players answered each image overall.
